BVE is the UK’s leading broadcast, production and media tech event, which attracts over 12,000 visitors to the show in London.
Earlier this week, I was at the BVExpo in London looking to show customers in the media broadcast market some proof of concepts that Speechmatics has been working on over the past few months.
As well as generating some great feedback from the market, I used the event as an opportunity to meet with current customers as well as seeking new opportunities in the media space.
I had a great time speaking to existing and prospective customers about how they integrate speech recognition technology into their media asset management (MAM) products. I wanted to understand what we at Speechmatics can do to improve our product offering, specifically for MAM vendors, and to get a feel for how machine learning and AI is impacting the broadcast video industry.
I spent some time speaking with existing partners about a metadata extraction proof of concept that we’ve been working on. It was rewarding to hear from customers first hand that they are really pleased with our transcription accuracy and that they are actively using our technology as part of their media workflow. They are also looking to work with us to easily gain insights from audio and video to enrich metadata.
